Samurai

The 2000 season of Lagoon brought one of the funnest, most intense thrill rides to the park. This Mondial Top Scan, only known as the Samurai, is definitely one of the funnest rides in the park. There are so many different types of ride experiences you can get with this thing, it'll have you crawling back for more!

Even though the ride itself isn't very complicated, explaining it is. There is one giant arm that rotates, at a 30°-40° angle, which has a rotating disc at the end of the giant arm, which has 6 more free spinning arms that are attached to the rotating disc. Are you still with me? Kudos if you are! 5 seats with over-the-shoulder restraints (OTSRs) are on each free spinning arm.

Towards the middle of the 2007 season, Samurai's main gear box failed and was sent back to Mondial to be repaired. It was closed for the rest of the season, but is expected to open from day 1 of the 2008 season.

Riders under 50" in height cannot ride. There are designated seats (marked by different-colored dots on the headrests) for riders between 50"-54".
